_____Chardonel 2012 – Harvested after a great growing year for whites, again this wine was so good that we just had to bottle it as its own varietal! Very fresh and easy drinking, this Chardonel has pear aromas and flavors married with bright citrus. This is your perfect picnic wine – pair with apples, cheese and crackers and other light fare.

_____Chardonnay 2012 – An excellent example of pure unoaked, stainless steel Chardonnay – estate grown and bottled. Extremely smooth on the palate and will complement any of your favorite salads or seafood dishes. Special label features Lottie, last year’s Richmond SPCA Mascot.

_____Viognier 2012 – An extremely aromatic wine that gives way to vibrant flavors of peach and melon. The fruit was sourced from two Virginia vineyards aged in French oak barrels. This wine pairs well with fish, scallops and Italian white sauces.

_____Cabernet Franc 2010 – We have long been proud of our Cabernet Franc and the way it has garnered broad appeal. This release is quite simply our finest one ever. Its compelling blend of 75% Cabernet Franc and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon is reminiscent of a right bank Bordeaux. It exhibits ruby color and begins with an earthy, berry nose leading to vibrant ripe fruit expressing currants, raisins and cherries. These are complemented and supported by hearty, fresh tannins that lead into a long, lingering finish. An eager adolescent no more, this wine has stepped into adulthood! Enjoy with duck, pork, roast turkey and filet mignon. Silver 2013 Governor’s Cup.

_____Petit Verdot Reserve 2010 – This 2010 Reserve Petit Verdot is a powerful blend of 86% Petit Verdot and 14 % Cabernet Sauvignon. This massive, muscular wine exhibits inky color and aromas of caramel and toasted oak that lead into dark chocolate flavors over laddered tannins. It is surprising that a wine of this much heft has such a long, delicate finish – a testament to the winemaker’s skill. This wine calls out for top sirloin, London broil, or well done roast.
